This couple thinks outside of the box, wine box you could say. When they came to us with their idea to gather their closest friends and family and have a destination wedding in wine country we knew this was going to be amazing– it truly was.
The bride and groom traveled to Northern California last fall, specifically to the Armstrong Forest, and fell in love with the sprawling redwood trees. They were captivated. A Destination Wedding enabled them to share the experience with the ones they love most.
We have to applaud this couple for all their planning from halfway across the country. They put together an itinerary to have the ceremony in the forest followed by stops at two wineries in the famous Russian River area before heading to dinner in Santa Rosa. They had welcome gift baskets (- for us too!) which included a mixed cd filled with weekend tunes, wine, trail mix, cheese, coasters + playing cards. Everything was marked with ‘K+W’ in a heart. Too cute.
The bride has such a cute eclectic style and let it shine in a laced v-neck short wedding dress, made by her new mother-in-law, a feather hairpiece reminding them of a bluejay they found in the area during their last trip and blue heels to match. The groom paired different shades of blue for his dapper chic look. Her bouquet was incredible! Proteas, ferns, blue thistle and Queen Ann’s lace made for one of the most dramatic bouquets we’ve ever seen.
Enjoy just a few from this beautiful day. Congrats guys!
