Where to begin!

Julia and Doug spun straw into gold and created their very own Disneyland in Sonoma County. They worked for the better part of a year designing, planning and recreating the beloved theme park at the Ellington Hall where they met swing dancing.

The invitations were a custom made, vintage style E-Ticket giving guests access to their special day. The cake was made by Doug’s aunt and specially designed with Mickey icing embellishments and music notes from ‘When You Wish Upon a Star’.

Julia had two dresses, one for the ceremony and start of reception and a second for dancing. Hidden Mickeys were scattered like pixie dust around their attire from Doug’s boutonniere to Julia’s gown and veil.  The Bridesmaids resembled the three good fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather in color and matched the groomsmen boutonnieres.

As guests arrived they found their Attraction for the evening by finding the corresponding FastPass to with their name. Famous landmarks featured included Space Mountain, The Haunted Mansion, Tomorrowland, Main Street U.S.A, Indiana Jones, the Matterhorn, Big Thunder Railroad, The Enchanted Tiki Room, Alice in Wonderland, Pirates of The Caribbean and the Sweetheart table was, of course, Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Every plate had a name tag and a wine charm that matched the theme of the table.

Thought went into every Zippity-doo-dah detail.  The bride and groom carefully thought and crafted every piece to make the experience magical for each guest. We found it especially unique at how much friends and family members contributed, making this day a Dream Come True.

Having a wedding on a bit of a budget was partially to have a longer honeymoon, which we think is brilliant! They traveled to Walt Disney World (for the first time ever!)  and spent a whole two weeks enjoying the parks and the grounds in Florida. A month later they traveled down to Disneyland in Anaheim to enjoy and reminisce in their favorite park. What a nice way to have everything come full circle. The Circle of Life? 🙂

Congratulations and lots of hope, trust and a little bit of pixie dust to this awesome pair.
