This beautiful couple put together a wedding day that was reflected who they are and, more admirably, the compassion they have for the future of the world.
I met the Bride through an online group and we connected on vegan food, musician boyfriends + a love of nature. It was such a treat to shoot her wedding at Tree People above the Los Angeles Valley on the actual date of their 7 year dating anniversary.
It was important that their details reflected their eco-friendly lifestyles. They used dried, day-old flowers as centerpieces, repurposed mason jars for cocktail hour and the reception, burlap from coffee bean bags from a local roaster, reutilized items from family and friends past weddings, cuts of wood from TreePeople that they reuse for ongoing events throughout the year. Wine was from Honig in Napa that uses Solar Power and sustainable methods to grow grapes, the arch was constructed from repurposed stakes and native plants in her co-workers yard, and the conference center is platinum LEED certified.
They wanted to have yummy food, beautiful details + create a fun environment for their closest friends in family in a place that embodies the natural beautiful of Southern California.
One of the favorite pieces of advice the bride received was that: ‘even stressful parts will become good memories’ – She said she completely agreed!
We were thrilled to have been there and shared this special + uniquely lovely day!
